Yes, of course! Kuxol cares about users’ online security.

 

Here at kuxol, we have every webpage on HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure - SSL Certificate) in order to make sure that user's interaction with the site is always secure, safe and private as the transmitted data is encrypted to protect it from interception or alteration which can subject users to eavesdropping, tracking, and the modification of received data. Data sent over non-secure HTTP is susceptible to interception, manipulation, and impersonation. This data can include browser identity, website content, search terms, and other user-submitted information. For instance, if you get to Kuxol through Internet Explorer, you will find that the url link always begins with https and there is a lock icon that displays the SSL certificate of Kuxol.

At the same time, the only personal information that Kuxol has to keep is your contact email address which is essential for kuxol to communicate with users through email. Kuxol does not share or disclose your email address to other users.

These third party payment processors offer users a secured online environment to complete the transaction. Yes, you can sign up (register) through your Facebook, Google+, or Linkedin account. This enables you to skip email confirmation and start to use Kuxol right away.

 

Kuxol will never post anything on your social media accounts. Your personal information and activity on Kuxol won't be shared with Facebook, Google+, Linkedin or any other third party.

Can I login Kuxol using my social media accounts?

 

Yes. Once you have successfully signed up, you can simple click on the Facebook, Google+, or Linkedin button to login with your social media account.

 

Kuxol will never post anything on your social media accounts. Your personal information and activity on Kuxol won't be shared with Facebook, Google+, Linkedin or any other third party.

How can I login with Facebook?

 

You will experience the following the very first time you login with your Facebook account. 

  • Click the Facebook icon to bring up a pop up window that tells you to "Log in to use your Facebook account with Kuxol".
  • Enter your Facebook account email address and password.
  • Then a message about what information will be retrieved from your account is displayed. Kuxol basically just needs your email address.
  • After clicking the "Okay" button, the message "You are now being logged in using your Facebook credentials" is displayed.
  • The message of "Facebook profile successfully connected" is displayed shortly.

 

Similar steps apply to login using Google+ and Linkedin accounts.

How to create an account?

 
  • It's free and just requires a few clicks.
  • Please go to top bar menu on the top right, click Register.
  • Type your first or full name (this is not visible on the site), create a user name (this can't be changed afterwards), your password, valid email address (this is not made known to other users). Make sure the checkbox of "agree to Terms of Service" is checked before clicking the "Register" button.
  • Once the registration is completed, the message: "Your account has been created and an activation link has been sent to the email address you entered. Note that you must activate the account by selecting the activation link when you get the email before you can login" is displayed.
  • A verification email with an account activation link will be sent to you. Please check the Junk or Spam folder in case you don’t find the email in the inbox.
  • Click the link to activate your account. The message: "Your account has been successfully activated. You can now log in using the username and password you chose during the registration" is displayed.
  • Just be sure to log in whenever you need to use your account to post new ads or manage existing ads or do some interesting shopping for yourself.

Can guest user register to create an account after posting an ad?

 

Yes, it is highly recommended and it's free!

  • Guest user who has posted ads before and decides to register, his/her posted ads will be automatically assigned to the new account if the same email address is used.
  • As a registered user, you can easily manage your ads, make changes at any time, or do the renewal without hassle.

What should I do if I forget my password?

 
  • On the Login page, click "Forgot your password?"
  • Then enter the email address of your account and this message is displayed.
  • A verification code is sent to you by email.
  • Enter the verification code that is found in the email and follow instruction on-screen to set a new password for your account.

What should I do if I forget my username?

 
  • On the Login page, click "Forgot your username?"
  • Then enter the email address of your account.
  • The message "Reminder successfully sent. Please check your mail." is displayed.
  • Your username can be found in the reminder email.

How to check my account information?

 
  • Open the "Account Setting" page under My Kuxol to find all your account information.
  • Click "Edit Profile" button on the same page in case you want to change the setting.
  • Click "Submit" button when you're done.

Can I change the email address or username associated with my Kuxol account?

 

Unfortunately, you’re not allowed to change the username. You may create another account with a different username and email address which is not recommendable.

 

Nevertheless, you may change your full name and email address in the following steps:

  • My Kuxol -> Account Setting page -> "Edit Profile" to change your full name, password, email address, and other personal information.

How to set up my profile?

 
  • Kuxol allows registered user to set up his/her own profile.
  • Log into your account, open "My Profile" page under My Kuxol.
  • Click the "Profile Edition" button to add "Profile Image", update "About Me" or add other information which you would like other users to know. Having said that, Kuxol recommends you not to put any sensitive privacy information here unless you find it necessary.
  • When you're done, click "Submit" button.

What are the benefits to become a registered user on Kuxol?

 

The followings are many benefits that a registered user can enjoy.

  • When posting a brand new ad, registered users can preview the ad before publishing.
  • Registered users can easily manage all their ads from "Manage my ads" under My Kuxol at any time. They can edit, copy, disable, delete, renew, or promote the ads there.
  • Registered users can use our swap system to exchange products or services.
  • Registered users can place bids on auction of an ad.
  • Registered users can view their sales and purchase history.
  • Registered users can use "Add to favorites" to save the ad(s) they are interested in.
  • Registered users can rate an ad and write reviews.
  • Registered users can leave comments for an ad.
  • Registered users can use our private messaging service "Kuxol Mail" to communicate among themselves.

Why can't I log in? What does the message "Failed to authenticate: Access Denied" mean?

 
  • Only registered user can log in Kuxol system.
  • The message indicates that your account is either not created successfully or has been deleted.
  • In case you just registered, please refer to FAQ - "How to create an account?".
  • In case you have deleted your account through My Kuxol and then tries to log in with the credential of the deleted account afterwards, you need to register for a new account successfully before logging in.
  • In case you log in with an incorrect user name or password, you may follow FAQ to recover the credential.
  • Kuxol reserves the right to review content of all ads and the proper use of kuxol mail and kuxol connect by users. At the same time, users are encouraged to report abuse on any suspicious behavior or ad's content that violates Kuxol's policy. Kuxol support team will investigate every complaint or report received.
  • Serious violation will lead to immediate banning of account and removal of all related ads without prior notice. Users should contact us in case they have proof that they did not violate Kuxol's policy.

What does the message "Login denied! Your account has either been blocked or you have not activated it yet." mean?

 
  • In case you just registered, please refer to FAQ - "How to create an account?"
  • On the other hand, an account is blocked or disabled when it is under investigation related to abuse and violation of Kuxol's policy.
  • In case it is determined that there is no violation, the account will be unblocked.
  • However, if the violation is found to be serious, the account will be deleted. You may try log in again a couple of days later to check the status.

Is it free to post an ad?

 

Yes, it is free to post and list ad. And there are no fees or commissions charged for any transactions you make on Kuxol.

Do I need to register to post an ad?

 
  • No, you don’t have to. You can post ads either as guest user or registered user.
  • However, as a registered user, you can easily manage your listing without having to go through your guest emails. In addition, you can benefit from distinguished features offered by Kuxol. For instance, preview your ad before publish, renew your ad, save your favorite ads, use Kuxol Mail or Kuxol Connect to communicate, check your sale or order history, write reveiws and comments.

How do I post an ad on Kuxol?

 

Click the Post FREE Ads button to go to the "New Ad" page. Registered user should log in first.

 

Field name with an asterisk means you must enter data there. If any of the following fields are left blank, a message like "Please enter all required values" will be displayed at time of new ad submission:

  • Title - this should be as specific, descriptive and clear as possible.
  • Category & subcategory - choose the ones that are very closely match to your ad as they are principle search criteria among others. The right ones will get more views and better responses to your ad.
  • Location - Specify the state and city. They are also principle search criteria among others. They are required in order to show where your ad locates on the geo map which facilitate trading locally. You can't post the same ad in more than one location.
  • Email - guest user must enter a valid email address in order to be able to maintain the ad, like edit or remove afterwards. Registered users do not have to enter information here as they can manage the ad via My Kuxol after logging into their accounts, use Kuxol Connect and Kuxol Mail to communicate among themselves.
  • "I agree to the Terms and Conditions" - the checkbox must be checked.

 

Can I post an ad in more than one city?

 

No, you can't post the same ad in more than one location.

Can I post an ad in multi-categories?

 
  • Yes, you can.
  • First you select a main category and subcategory for your ad.
  • Then you may add a maximum of two additional categories for free.
  • Once the ad is published, it will be visible in all selected categories. The categories are also displayed on the ad detail view page.

How can I add images in my ad?

 
  • On the Post FREE Ads page, there is a section called "Images" where you can upload up to 10 pictures for free with a maximum size of 5MB each.
  • Ensure the pictures are in JPEG, PNG or GIF format.
  • To upload a photo, simply click the "Add files" button. Select the image file from your computer that you want to upload and then click "Open". The first image will become the main image of your ad.
  • Three icons will be found on the uploaded image. The pencil icon is for editing the file name. The rotate icon is for adjusting the orientation of the image. The X icon is for removing the image. You may drag the images to change their order.
  • You may add or remove images of a posted ad. First, log into your account. Then, click on "Manage My Ads" found on the menu My Kuxol. Select the ad you want to change and click "Edit" button. Then scroll down to the Images section.

How to add video to my ad? Is it free?

 
  • Yes, it's free.
  • On the "Add New Ad" page, there is a field called "Video" where you can add a video link (YouTube or Vimeo) by copy-and-paste here.
  • The video is visible on the ad detail view page.

What are Types and how to use them?

 

You may assign a "Type" to your ad. It is shown on the ad in the form of a colorful label which is useful in drawing attention to the ad. Type is also considered as a principle search criteria.

 

There are many self-explanatory "types" to choose from: For Sale, For Rent, Swap or Sale, Brand New, For Free, Wanted, Coupon, Urgent, Hot Deal, Special Offer, Clearance, Local Brand, National Brand. For instance,

  • Select type "Swap or Sale" in case the item or service of your ad is swappable.
  • Select type "Wanted" in case you are proactively looking for something to buy. It also enables buyers to attract vendors to compete for their business through reverse auction.
  • Select type "Coupon" in case you want to promote your business by giving out coupons through the attachment section of the ad.
  • Select type "Local brand" in case you want to announce that your business/products/service is already a local brand or you are currently striving to achieve one.
  • Select type "National brand" in case you want to announce that your business/products/service is already a national brand or you are currently striving to achieve one.

 

Types Coupon, Urgent, Hot Deal, Special Offer, Clearance, Local Brand and National Brand are classified as premium features. Please check our Premium Features FAQ for more detail.

 

Ads of type Urgent, Hot Deal, Special Offer and Clearance will be displayed in a slide show on Kuxol's Homepage and Category/Subcategory pages.

 

Ads of type Local Brand and National Brand will also be displayed in a slide show on Kuxol's Homepage and Category/Subcategory pages.

How to use Buy Now option for my ad?

 
  • If you have more than one same items to sell, this option will be very helpful. 
  • Set "Buy Now" to "Yes" when you post a new ad.
  • In the "Quantity" fields choose the number of pieces available for buyers.
  • Enter "Price Buy Now".
  • At ad detail view page, buyer can choose the desired quantity to purchase.
  • Click "Buy Now" button on the price tag.
  • Buyer will see a "Checkout Details" list after logging in.
  • Click "Buy Now" from the list and the message "Order has been placed successfully" is shown.
  • On the ad detail view page, it is found that the total quantity has been reduced to a lower figure.
  • Both buyer and seller will receive an email notification about the purchase.
  • Buyer and seller may communicate with each other about final payment and delivery method through Kuxol Mail and Kuxol Connect.

How the Auction works in Kuxol, how to manage the Auction and how to place a bid?

 
  • Please set "Bidding active" to "Yes" when you post a new ad to allow users to make biddings to your ad.
  • Set your starting price.
  • Set your "Reserve price" which is a hidden minimum price you're willing to accept for your listed item. It prevents the auction from being won at a price that is too low to be accepted by the seller. In case the auction ends without any bids that meet the reserve price, the seller isn't required to sell the item.
  • "Min bid increase" allows you to set the minimum bid increase value.
  • "Max bid increase" allows you to set the maximum bid increase value.
  • Here we show you an example of posting an ad with auction by seller kuxoldemo1.
  • Check the ad from its detail view page. You can see the starting price which is $150. You have to log in to place a bid or to view current bids.
  • Buyer kuxoldemo2 placed bid at $160 and received the message of "Offer published successfully".
  • Other buyers place bids at $170, $180, $190 and $200.
  • After buyer kuxoldemo3 placed bid at $205, the "Current bids" looks like this.
  • Seller can remove a bid. He must have logged in to do so.
  • Seller can send a message to the bidder from the "Current bids" list at ad detail view page. Simply click on the bidder's name.
  • When the auction ends (the auction ending date is equal to the ad expiration date) the winner and losers of the bidding as well as the seller will receive email notification from Kuxol.
  • In case the seller has set up a "Reserve price", and no bids have reached that price, the deal won't be made.
  • Seller will receive emails related to new offer on the auction, auction ends with no bids, auction ends and reserve price hasn't been reached, auction ends with biggest offer during the process of auction.
  • Bidders will receive email notice about new offer, outbid and auction ends but didn't win.
  • Winner will receive email like: offer won the auction but haven't reached reserve price or offer won the auction.

How File Attachments works?

 
  • You can upload up to 6 attachments, no more than 2MB per file.
  • Multiple attachment upload is available.
  • Filename extention can only be jpg, png, gif, pdf or txt. A file extension is typically delimited from the filename with a full stop (period).
  • There's a field next to each uploaded file where you can enter the captions or leave the file name.
  • Once the ad is saved and published, attachments are downloadable in the ad detail view page.

What are the Promotions?

 

Promotions are paid features that are helpful in promoting your ad. Please refer to FAQ and Premium Features for more information.

Will I get an email notification after I post an ad?

 

Yes, both guest user and registered user will receive New Ad email confirming that you have published a new ad on Kuxol.

  • Guest user will receive two links from the email: "edition link" is for editing the ad while the "remove link" is for deleting the ad.
  • Registered users can manage their ad through "Manage My Ads" under My Kuxol.

When will my ad expire?

 
  • There are several options for setting the number of days an ad to stay valid.
  • You will be notified by email to renew your ad 5 days before the expiration date. 

Are there any restrictions on video link and website that I put on my ad and seller's profile?

 

Absolutely. Video link and website must not contain the following content:

  • Nudity or sexual content
  • Violent or graphic content
  • Hateful content
  • Spam, misleading metadata, and scams
  • Harmful or dangerous content
  • copyright infringement
  • Threats

Ways to manage your ad

How to distinguish a new ad from others?

 
  • A new ad will be published with a red "New" label located right next to the ad's title.
  • The "New" label is to disappear 5 days later.

How can I edit my ad?

 
  • Guest user can edit the ad and make any changes through the "Edition link" of Kuxol New Advert email.
  • Registered user will do it by logging into your account. From either top bar menu or left menu My Kuxol, click "Manage My Ads" to display a list of your ads. There is an "Edit" button at the bottom of each ad (Edit Ad).

How to renew my ad?

 
  • You will receive Kuxol email notification 5 days before each ad is about to expire.
  • Guest user can’t renew the ad. You have the option to repost it or register to create a free account with Kuxol. Keep in mind to use the same email as you posted the ad, so your previous ads can be automatically transferred to your new account.
  • For registered user, a "Renew" button will appear under the ad 5 days before ad's expiration. The default renewal days depends on the duration that you set up when you posted your ad.
  • After logging into your account, from My Kuxol, click "Manage My Ads", then click the "Renew" button, you'll be taken to the "Renew Ad" page where you can select the duration of your ad.
  • You can add or remove promotions for your renewal ad as well. If everything is fine, click "Submit" to complete the ad renewal process.

Can I copy my ad?

 

Yes. When you post similar items, it's easier and faster to just copy one of existing ads and make some changes in it rather than building it from scratch once more. It's a huge time saver for registered user!

  • On "Manage My Ad" page of My Kuxol, click "Copy" button upon an existing ad.
  • "Copy of Ad" page with all same details as in original ad is displayed to let you make any adjustments.

Can I block or disable the ad for any reasons?

 

Yes. After log in to My Kuxol, go to "Manage My Ad" page.

  • Click "Block" button upon the ad you wish to disable and it'll change to inactive mode, and the ad will not be shown in any search result.
  • To bring it back, just click "Publish" button to enable it again.

How do I publish an “inactive” ad?

 
  • In case your ad is nowhere to find, it maybe due to the fact that it is already expired which you didn't renew.
  • Go to My Kuxol, click "Manage My Ads". An ad with red circle icon on the right indicates that the ad is "inactive".
  • Simply click the "Renew" button, follow the steps of "how to renew my ad".
  • The red circle icon will turn to green which means your ad is active again.

How can I delete my ad?

 
  • Guest user can delete the ad through the "Remove link" of Kuxol New Advert email.
  • Registered user has to first log into your account. From either top bar menu or left menu My Kuxol, click "Manage My Ads". Select the ad you want to remove and click the "Delete" button. A pop up message will appear asking if you want to delete the ad or not. If you are ready to delete your ad, click "Ok".
  • Your deleted ad will be archived but will stay visible on your ads list with a black circle icon on the right.

Where can I see my ads?

 
  • Click "Manage My Ads" under My Kuxol to see all your ads.
  • You may do "Edit", "Renew" or "Delete" on any ad.
  • You may also add premium feature "Move to top of list" to your ad.

What should I do if I can’t find my ad online?

 

Most ads are visible immediately after posting. In case you can't find your ad, you may try:

  • For guest user, please check your ad via the link found on the Kuxol new ad notification email.
  • For registered user, please go to "Manage my ad" under My Kuxol after logging into your account.
  • Delete temporary internet files, cookies or cache from your browser.
  • Refresh your browser or reload the page.
  • Make sure that you're looking into the right category or location.
  • All the photo sliders display ads in rotation. Click the left or right arrow button to load more ads until your ad is shown.
  • In the case of promoted ads, sometimes the payment processing takes longer. Such ads won't be activated until your payment is received.
  • Renew your expired ad.
  • If you don't see your ad after 24 hours, please contact us.

Why was my ad removed from the site?

 

Here are a few reasons why an ad would be removed from Kuxol:

  • The ad goes against posting rules.
  • The ad violates Prohibited Items & Services Policy of our Terms and Conditions.
  • The ad is a scam or fraud.
  • The ad is a duplicate.
  • The ad was posted in wrong category.
  • The ad was posted in multiple locations.
  • The ad has expired.

How do I know how many times my ad has been viewed?

 

On the ad detail view page, scroll down to the "Ad details" where there is a number placed besides "Displayed". This number represents how many views made.

Can I share Kuxol ad with others?

 

Yes. Feel free to do so. There are several social buttons, email and print buttons on the ad detail view page. Click "+" to reveal much more social buttons. Simply click the icon to start sharing the ad with others.

Can I save any ads?

 

Yes. You can add any ad that you're interested in to favorites, and review them at a later time.

  • You are required to log in first.
  • Go to the ad detail view page, click "Add to favorites" next to its title.
  • Then the message "Ad added to favorites" is displayed. The heart icon turns to red, and "Add to favorites" is changed to "Favorites" in red.
  • A second click on the red heart or "Favorites" will remove the ad from your favorites list. The message of "Ad removed from favorites" is displayed.
  • Registered user may review the saved ads through "My Favorites" under My Kuxol.

What can be done to let my ad get more views and responds?

 
  • Above all, add at least one image for your ad. A picture is worth a thousand words. Ads with images usually get more clicks and attentions.
  • Use accurate keywords, most common names, and the most essential information for your ad title.
  • Add as more detail as possible, yet be descriptive and concise. Draw attention by disclosing some unique features of the item or service on the ad.
  • Promote your ad with our Premium Features that suits your need. Assign the right "Type" to your ad that enables it to appear on the photo slide show displayed on the homepage or category/subcategory page. With these Premium Features, your ad will stand out from the crowd, expose to more visitors, and draw a lot more traffic. Please check Kuxol Premium Features for detail.
  • The more attractive and informative your posting is, the more views and offers your ads are likely to receive.
  • Spread the words to your friends to use Kuxol. Share your ad with social media to generate more traffic.

How do I report abuse related to an ad?

 
  • Please click the "Report Abuse" button/link located on the ad detail page and the footer section of every page in the event you find any ad that appears to be against Kuxol’s posting rules, illegal, fraudulent, spam in nature, duplicate, in the wrong category, in the wrong geographical area, and etc.
  • Our support team will carry out investigation as soon as possible.
  • Any questionable ad which violates Kuxol policies will be removed while its owner's account will be suspended without further notice.
  • We do appreciate your help to keep this community safe and healthy.

How to use Verify ID?

 
  • Enter the user name to find out if this user is registered through selected social media account (Google+, Linkedin, or Facebook).
  • If this user is not, this message is displayed. Otherwise, this message confirms it.
  • The seller/advertiser profile and list of ads of this user is displayed afterwards under all circumstances.

Where to check advertiser’s profile?

 
  • On the ad detail view page, the advertiser's username can be found under "Created by". The number next to it represents the total number of active ads of the advertiser.
  • Click on the username to see the seller/advertiser profile and list of ads of this advertiser.
  • Guest users do not have advertiser profile though.

How can I contact the advertiser of an ad?

 
  • Guest user may click the "Guest email" button on the ad detail view page. One has to provide name and real email address for the advertiser to send reply. However, the advertiser may choose not to reply for sake of privacy protection so his or her email address is not disclosed to strangers through other non-Kuxol email system.
  • Registered user, after logging in, can contact the advertiser by clicking the "Kuxol Mail" button on the ad detail view page.   • There is a search box "What are you looking for..." on the header of Kuxol HomePage. Click the "Advanced Search" link to reveal additional search criteria fields:

How to change the order of search results?

 
  • Fresh listings on Category/Subcategory pages are always firstly sorted by date, with the most recent ads showing on the top. 
  • You may change the sorting in a different way by clicking a column name (Title, Category, Location, Price, Added, Expiration, Displayed, Distance, and Reviews) shown on the black top bar: 
  1. Title: sort by alphabetical order.
  2. Category: sort by alphabetical order of subcategory where the ad is associated with.
  3. Location: sort by alphabetical order.
  4. Price: lowest first or highest first
  5. Added: newly posted first, or vice versa.
  6. Expiration: ending soonest, or vice versa.
  7. Displayed: sort by number of ad's hits, lowest first or highest first. The eye icon under the ad's dates represents how many times the ad detail page has been viewed so far.
  8. Distance: nearest or farthest to our default location (Los Angeles, California).
  9. Reviews: sort by least to most votes, or vice versa. 
  • The ad with premium feature "Promotion-First" has high priority and always stays on top of the list. Please check our Premium Features for more detail.

  • Yes, you can. Use geolocation on Kuxol Search.
  • Here is a list of ads on a Category page before using geolcation.
  • Select range and click the geolocation icon.
  • Allow to share the location.
  • Webpage will then refresh.
  • Your approximate geolocation is now displayed on the Kuxol Search.
  • Here is the new list of ads that are from the area based on your geolocation under this category.
  • This indicates the distance the item of the ad located from my current geolocation.
  • When you use geolocation to do ads search on the Classifieds webpage without specifying a category, ads of all categories within the distance range of the search filter from your geolocation will be displayed.

I have posted many ads, how can I find a specific one?

 
  • Log in to the site, go to "Manage My Ads" under "My Kuxol".
  • Enter a keyword(s) related to a specific ad(s) onto the "Search" box to bring it up.

  • Guest user has to check their own personal mailbox for messages sent by other users. However, those users may choose not to reply for sake of privacy protection so his or her email address is not disclosed to strangers through other non-Kuxol email system.   • Registered users check messages in the inbox through "Kuxol Mail" under My Kuxol.

Kuxol Connect is an advanced live video chat system that facilitates registered users' interactivity on our site.

What are the features of Kuxol Connect and how to use them?

 
  • After log into your account, you will find a message window on the bottom right corner - "Click here to open and start the chat now".
  • "Click here" to open up the kuxol Connect Private Chat window. To close the window, simple click the group chat icon on the bottom left corner. To enlarge the window, click the "Maximize" button; a second click will minimize the window.
  • Use the search tool to get to the user you want to contact.
  • Click on the user name to start an instant chat. You can drag the top bar of chat box to any position of the screen you want.
  • You can communicate with multiple users simultaneously.
  • You can choose to ban or un-ban a user by clicking "Ban user" switch next to the user name.
  • You can do more setup through the "Chat options".
  • You may set your Skype ID to receive Skype calls from other users. A Skype icon shows next to a user name indicates that the user accepts Skype calls.
  • You'll receive notifications for incoming messages.

 

These feature icons are presented from left to right on the bottom of the chat box: Video chat, Emoji, Add file, Save conversation, Delete conversation, Refresh chat, Conversation history, Open the location map, and Click to send message.

 

"Open the location map" - find out if the other party is really at the geolocation he or she claims to be.

 

To iniciate video chat, press "Start call" after clicking the "Video chat" icon and toggle local camera to ON. Toggle local camera to OFF for audio chat only.

How does the Instant Language Translator work in Kuxol Connect?

 

The powerful Instant Language Translator system allows you to translate instantly each message sent to the other party into another language.

 

During the text chatting session, both parties need to choose a source language and target language. Toggle the language translator ON in order to send outgoing and receive incoming translated messages automatically.

 

*Google Translate, like other automatic translation tools, has its limitations. The service limits the number of paragraphs and the range of technical terms that can be translated, and while it can help the reader to understand the general content of a foreign language text, it does not always deliver accurate translations and most times, it tends to repeat verbatim the same word it's expected to translate. Grammatically, for example, Google Translate struggles to differentiate between imperfect and perfect tenses in Romance languages so habitual and continuous acts in the past often become single historical events. Although seemingly pedantic, this can often lead incorrect results (to a native speaker of for example French and Spanish) which would have been avoided by a human translator. What should I do if I'm not ready to interact with the caller?

 
  • Click on the Chat Options icon.
  • Select "Turn off chat" to close the chat window temporarily while your user name will become invisible on the online user list.
  • Or select "Do not disturb" which cause an icon (red stop sign) to be placed besides your user name on the online user list. Other users should respect your announcement and not to contact you at this time.

How do I block and unblock a user? How do I know I am blocked?

 
  • There is an icon placed next to the user name on the online user list.
  • Click on it to switch from unblocked to blocked. Click it again unblock that user.
  • When you contact a user and see the message "You have been banned by this user" inside the chat window, it means you have been blocked by that user.

Premium Features make your ad standing out and catching the eye in the listing. It helps your ad to draw more attention, receive more visibility and inquiries. You will have a better chance to sell things quickly, or attract more customers to use your service.

What kind of Premium Features do you have and how much they will cost me?

 

Add Premium Feature(s) to your ad for a small fee to make it standing out of the crowd. The most current fees are made noticeable at the time you post or edit your ad. At any time, Kuxol may temporarily charge certain fees at a discount for promotional events. Please check here for the latest limited-time special offer.

 

Special Types - they are predefined colorful labels with individual type name on. 

  • Coupon type - ads with Coupon type are displayed in a photo slider on Kuxol Classifieds page and Category/Subcategory page.
  • Effective period: as long as your ad is active

 

  • Urgent, Hot Deal, Special Offer, or Clearance type - ads with these four types are displayed in a photo slider on Homepage and Category/Subcategory page.
  • Effective period: as long as your ad is active

 

  • Local Brand and National Brand type - ads with these two are presented in one photo slider on Homepage and Category/Subcategory page.
  • Effective period: as long as your ad is active

 

Move to tope of the list - is a one-time feature that allows you to move your ad from its current position to the top of the listing in its category. This feature can be activated through your ad list. Your ad will stay at the top of the listing on the first page until other ads are posted or others add this feature to their ads in the same category which resulting in your ad being moved down the list.

  • Effective period: one time

 

Promotions - there are four kinds of promotions: "First", "Border", "Background" and "Special". 

Promotion - First

  • As the name suggests the aim is to set ad as first on the list of ads in its category at the first page. This promotion has absolute priority.
  • Effective period: as long as your ad is active

 

Promotion - Border

  • Ad with this promotion will have a border around it. That means the advertisement will be published with border on the list of ads.
  • Effective period: as long as your ad is active

 

Promotion - Background

  • Advertisement with this promotion will have a distinguished color background.
  • Effective period: as long as your ad is active

 

Promotion - Special

  • Next to the name of advertisement with this promotion will be a characteristic yellow star, suggesting the uniqueness of a special ad.
  • Effective period: as long as your ad is active

 

"Promoted Ads" is a slide show of all the ads associated with above promotions. It's displayed on Home Page viewable by users nationally and locally.

What’s the duration of Premium Features?

 

It is as the same duration as your ad. Your ad will stay promoted as long as it is still active.

When can I add Premium Features to my ad?

 

Any time. Some people prefer to do it while posting brand new ads. Others may post a regular ad first and add premium feature(s) later when they find it helpful to increase the exposure of their ads.

How can I upgrade my ad with a Premium Feature?

 

Guests can add Premium Features through the New Ad email that contains an Edit link.

Registered users can add Premium Features in the following ways:

  • Click on "Manage my ad" under My Kuxol.
  • If you want to add "Move to top of list" feature for your ad, simply click that button under the ad.
  • For other features, you need to click on "Edit" button and choose the feature you wish to use on "Edit Ad" page.
  • Click "Submit" after you're done.
  • The message of "Advert saved successfully, please choose payment" is displayed.
  • Review your "Payment Details", fill out the credit card information or pay with PayPal.
  • Click "Buy Now" button.
  • If your payment goes through, the message of "Thanks for payment" is displayed while an order confirmation notice is sent to you by email.

What payment methods do you accept for Premium Features?

 
  • We accept most common credit cards, like: Visa, Master Card, and American Express for your payment.
  • You can pay with PayPal as well.

Can I get refund if I delete my promoted ad?

 

All paid premium features are non-refundable.

Can I remove the Premium Feature of my ad or transfer it to another ad?

 
  • Besides "Move to top of list", you can remove any other paid feature from the ad in case you don't need it any more.
  • Nevertheless, all paid premium features are non-refundable.
  • Premium features are non-transferrable between ads.

Can I change the Premium Feature for my ad?

 
  • Yes, you can.
  • Go to "Manage my account" under My Kuxol.
  • Click "Edit" button on the ad you want to make change.
  • Check off any Premium Feature you have and check on the new one you want to add.
  • Click "Submit" and make payment.
  • Please be reminded that all paid premium features are non-refundable.

Will I be reimbursed if my ad with Premium Feature is taken down?

 

An ad is taken down when it is determined that it has violated our policies. All paid premium features are non-refundable.

Why don't I see my promoted ad on the photo slider?

 

The photo slider cannot show all promoted ads at once. Ad photos are rotated to give each the same visibility. Generally speaking, most recently posted ads are displayed first. You can click the left or right arrow button to load more ads until yours is shown.
